For my Father’s Day celebration this year, I simply asked to have an Indiana Jones movie marathon at my house so that I could enjoy these classic movies with my kids. The day was a big success. We got through them all and I was able to introduce my kids to some of the greatestContinue reading “Indiana Jones Films Ranked”

Beyond The Mask
I was interested in seeing Beyond the Mask because, to my knowledge, its the first action adventure period movie produced by a Christian film company. Burns Family Studios made Beyond the Mask and released it last year. The only movie series that I can think of to compare it to is the Pirates of theContinue reading “Beyond The Mask”
The Worldview Of ‘The Jungle Book’
Following is a fair and honest exploration of the world view presented in the new movie “The Jungle Book” by author and professor Sean McDowell, Ph.D. Be warned, it contains spoilers. “My entire family went to see The Jungle Book this past weekend. From my 3 ½-year old son, to my mother-in-law, we all thoroughlyContinue reading “The Worldview Of ‘The Jungle Book’”
Zootopia Review
Walt Disney Animation Studios is at the top of their game these days with yet another first class animated movie like Zootopia, coming right on the heels of possibly the most popular animated movie ever, Frozen in 2013. In 2010 they gave us the equally wonderful Tangled and then in 2014 they changed their gameContinue reading “Zootopia Review”
Johnny Express
I’ve been watching alot of animated short films lately. This one has quickly become my favorite of all time. The story idea is pure genius. And it’s pretty funny too, in a twisted sort of way. Thanks to my brother, Danny Cahan, for pointing it out to me.
Galaxy Quest – Funny Sci-Fi
I introduced my kids to one of the great science fiction comedies of all time, Galaxy Quest. The plot centers around the cast of a fictional science fiction TV show. It’s obviously patterned off of the original Star Trek tv series starring William Shatner and Leonard Neemoy. The series in the movie is called, Galaxy Quest,Continue reading “Galaxy Quest – Funny Sci-Fi”
Thoughts on Star Wars: The Force Awakens
A GREAT MOVIE! First, I just want to make it clear that I loved this movie. The Force Awakens was the perfect blend of the old and new. We got just enough of Han Solo and the old gang to make us old folks remember the thrill of the classic Star Wars. But, more importantly, weContinue reading “Thoughts on Star Wars: The Force Awakens”
Man On The Moon
Here is another great short film to help us celebrate the meaning of Christmas. This one is made by John Lewis. The story is sweet and touching with just the right amount of Christmas magic. Watch and enjoy.
Mog’s Christmas Calamity
This short film is fun, magical, professionally made, and it captures the Christmas spirit. Not till the last frame do you realize it’s an advertisement for Sainsbury’s. But, don’t let the word “advertisement” scare you off. This is more great storytelling then shrewd marketing. Or, maybe it’s both. It doesn’t’ matter. Please watch and enjoy.
Movies About Thankfullness
This is my list of great movies that teach thankfulness. Only a few of them include the Thanksgiving holiday, but they all have being thankful as part of they’re core message. Also, you should know that these are all personal favorites of mine. I’ve watched each of these movies more than once, over the years, withContinue reading “Movies About Thankfullness”
