I’ve just launched my Newsletter and I’m looking for fans of my writing, illustrating, and book reviews to sign up to receive it once a month. My way of saying, “thank you” to everyone who signs up is to give them a copy of my brand new short story, Into the Real World. It’s a story about characters who live in a world that has been stuck in a COVID-19 type of crisis for 20 or 30 years. What would our world be like if that were the case? Read my new story and find out. What can you expect … Continue reading Get My New Short Story for Free!
Below is a poster I created for my new book, CAGED ANIMALS. Note: when I drew this image I was planning to call the book ALIEN CAGES, but have sinced changed my mind on the title. I’ll give more information on my book in the coming weeks. I’m in the final stages of revisions now and hope to have it ready to take over the world soon. Watch my blog or follow me on Facebook for more information. COMING SOON! Continue reading My Next Book – SNEAK PEAK
Glazed Man & Rat Girl is riding high at the top of the list, HILARIOUS KID’S BOOKS on Goodreads. This is a monumentous achievement for the not-so-bright but good hearted Glazed Man and his slightly crazy but fearless friend Rat Girl. Full disclosure, they won the number one spot with only four votes, but hey, that’s two better than the second place book. OK, so it’s not one of the more popular lists on Goodreads, that’s beside the point. The point is that they are number one and we’re going to celebrate as long as they are on top. Speaking … Continue reading Glazed Man Voted #1
The Laundry Monster is one of the villains in my first book, Glazed Man & Rat Girl. It’s a rather unusual villain in that it’s not actually a person. It’s made up of Johnny Crumb’s old stinky laundry. It comes to life when Johnny tosses his radioactive socks on top of the pile. The Laundry Monster has never gotten as much press as the main villain, RoboCreep, but truth be told, I’ve always enjoyed it’s scenes in the book more than RoboCreep’s. I’m not sure why. Maybe it’s just how my warped brain works. Or, maybe it’s because it reminds … Continue reading The Laundry Monster and Plop
My brother, Bill Cahan, recently visited some friends in the Philippines. Upon learning that the two girls in the photo below are big superhero fans, he ordered two of my books to give them as gifts. The woman on the left is his friend Annie, and next to her are girls from her neighborhood, Francis and Savana. According to Bill and Annie, Glazed Man & Rat Girl are a big hit with the young girls. A big thanks to Bill Cahan for furthering the adventures of Glazed Man & Rat Girl by sending them to a new country. And thanks … Continue reading Glazed Man In The Philippines

My first book, Glazed Man & Rat Girl has just received a review from a professional review site called Readers Favorite. I had no guarantee that I’d get a good review, so I’ve been nervous waiting to hear back from them. I’m beyond excited to announce that my book recieved a 5-star review. And I couldn’t be happier with the reviewer’s comments. Here it is below. Below is a piece of concept art I drew recently, depicting a scene from the novel that I am currently working on. The working title is Pet Planet, but I’m pretty sure that will be changed before publication. This new project is a complete change of direction for me. It’s a young adult novel that has nothing to do with Glazed Man or Rat Girl. I’m not ready to give any real details yet, as I’m still writing the rough draft. I don’t plan to do illustrations for this one, although I’m considering doing one or two. The illustration below … Continue reading Concept Art
