Glazed Man & Rat Girl WEBCOMIC is a Hit!

My new Webcomic, Glazed Man & Rat Girl has been in existence for only 9 months and its already building a huge following on Instagram. The input I’m receiving from fans is that they love it for four big reasons. 1. IT’S FUNNY. More and more people are looking for something light-hearted to laugh at these days when so much of our world feels sad and depressing. The webcomic, like the classic comics that I grew up on, can always be counted on to be positive and leave its readers smiling. 2. IT’S CLEAN. There are lots of new comics … Continue reading Glazed Man & Rat Girl WEBCOMIC is a Hit!

Concept Art

Below is a piece of concept art I drew recently, depicting a scene from the novel that I am currently working on. The working title is Pet Planet, but I’m pretty sure that will be changed before publication. This new project is a complete change of direction for me. It’s a young adult novel that has nothing to do with Glazed Man or Rat Girl. I’m not ready to give any real details yet, as I’m still writing the rough draft. I don’t plan to do illustrations for this one, although I’m considering doing one or two. The illustration below … Continue reading Concept Art

New Artwork for Glazed Man 2

I’m very excited about my new book, due out at the end of this year. My working title is GLAZED MAN & RAT GIRL 2: PLASTIC HEAD’S SWEET REVENGE. The new story is complete and I’m into the illustrations now. It’s always fun to see new drawings of my characters doing different activities and experiencing new emotions. I may share some of those in the coming months. I’m also having a blast creating new characters for this book. Here is a sneak peak at one of the new characters.  I won’t tell you it’s name or how it fits into the … Continue reading New Artwork for Glazed Man 2

The positive reviews for Glazed Man & Rat Girl continue to roll in. Rat Girl is Martha; after being kidnapped and left in dungeon with a bunch of rats and she drinks icky green stuff she becomes a large rat. This is a good vs. evil tale with two of the most lovable superheroes you will ever meet. Scott Cahan is a very talented writer. In this … Continue reading Readers Love Glazed Man

My Family at Christmas

Merry Christmas from the Cahan Family As my Christmas Card to my readers, here is a photo from a few days ago when my family and I made a day of going to a Choose & Cut Christmas tree lot near our home in the mountains of North Carolina. There we drank hot chocolate, rode a hay ride through the maze of trees, and then walked among the trees until we all agreed on the perfect one for our living room. We made a day of it and had a great time, just as we always do when we’re all together. Merry Christmas … Continue reading My Family at Christmas

A Scene from Glazed Man & Rat Girl

Below are a few pages from my book Glazed Man & Rat Girl: The Origins. This scene is plucked right from the middle of the book, so here are a few details to bring you up to speed. 1. The villain, RoboCreep, is trying to make a getaway by flying upward into the sky. Our heroes are trying to stop him. Neither of them can fly, so they are hanging onto RoboCreep, who is actually a scientist named Caswell Creep wearing a robot suit. 2. Glazed Man and Rat Girl just met for the first time, a few pages earlier. … Continue reading A Scene from Glazed Man & Rat Girl

Glazed Man#2 Update

The new Glazed Man and Rat Girl book is well underway. I’m still in the writing phase and expect to be writing for several more months. I typically write first, then illustrate, then re-write, then re-illustrate. So, I’ve still got a long way to go on this new one, but after a few months off for the holidays and book marketing stuff, it feels good to  get back to writing. I’m very excited about the new story. I’ve had lots of requests and demands for a hint of what the next story line will be, so in order to keep … Continue reading Glazed Man#2 Update
