I’ve been watching alot of animated short films lately. This one has quickly become my favorite of all time. The story idea is pure genius. And it’s pretty funny too, in a twisted sort of way. Thanks to my brother, Danny Cahan, for pointing it out to me.

Galaxy Quest – Funny Sci-Fi
I introduced my kids to one of the great science fiction comedies of all time, Galaxy Quest. The plot centers around the cast of a fictional science fiction TV show. It’s obviously patterned off of the original Star Trek tv series starring William Shatner and Leonard Neemoy. The series in the movie is called, Galaxy Quest,Continue reading “Galaxy Quest – Funny Sci-Fi”
Readers Love Glazed Man
The positive reviews for Glazed Man & Rat Girl continue to roll in. Here is another one that was recently added to Amazon.com by another happy customer. “Glazed Man gets his superhero powers from…Glazed donuts, he is capable of shooting glaze from the palms of his hands.. Rat Girl is Martha; after being kidnapped and leftContinue reading “Readers Love Glazed Man”
Thoughts on Star Wars: The Force Awakens
A GREAT MOVIE! First, I just want to make it clear that I loved this movie. The Force Awakens was the perfect blend of the old and new. We got just enough of Han Solo and the old gang to make us old folks remember the thrill of the classic Star Wars. But, more importantly, weContinue reading “Thoughts on Star Wars: The Force Awakens”
Fan Mail for Glazed Man & Rat Girl
I’m happy to share a note I received a few days ago from a new Glazed Man & Rat Girl fan, and her Mom. Notes like these are what keep me writing and drawing. Here is the note: . . . We got our daughter Ella your book for Christmas and she loved it! She wants the nextContinue reading “Fan Mail for Glazed Man & Rat Girl”
Merry Christmas
I did this special drawing as a small way of saying “thank you” to all of my blog readers and to the fans of Glazed Man & Rat Girl. Glazed Man says, “Don’t forget to do 2 things during the holidays, remember to celebrate the birth of Jesus, and eat lots of Christmas donuts.”
The Other Letter
Here is my third video discovery in my series of video shorts that illustrate the heart of Christmas. This one, made by Ikea, is aimed squarely at parents. I can attest that I had tears rolling down my cheeks one minute into it. They’re good tears, the kind we parents should cry more often, but tooContinue reading “The Other Letter”
Man On The Moon
Here is another great short film to help us celebrate the meaning of Christmas. This one is made by John Lewis. The story is sweet and touching with just the right amount of Christmas magic. Watch and enjoy.
Mog’s Christmas Calamity
This short film is fun, magical, professionally made, and it captures the Christmas spirit. Not till the last frame do you realize it’s an advertisement for Sainsbury’s. But, don’t let the word “advertisement” scare you off. This is more great storytelling then shrewd marketing. Or, maybe it’s both. It doesn’t’ matter. Please watch and enjoy.
Movies About Thankfullness
This is my list of great movies that teach thankfulness. Only a few of them include the Thanksgiving holiday, but they all have being thankful as part of they’re core message. Also, you should know that these are all personal favorites of mine. I’ve watched each of these movies more than once, over the years, withContinue reading “Movies About Thankfullness”
