Starlite, by Jonathan Latt, is a space opera science fiction novel with a healthy dose of humor. The tone is closer to Guardians of the Galaxy than Star Wars. The story centers around Bevil Cyrex, a young man from a good family who spends more time flying through space in his beloved spaceship than staying at home with his loving family whose main concern is to find him a mate. Random Walk – Book Review

Reviewed by Scott Cahan Random Walk by Rachel Lulich is a hard science fiction novel with heart. It effectively balances scientific detail with characters that are easily relatable and likable. The story follows a three-person crew of astronauts as they attempt the first manned mission to Mars. Though the astronauts are the number one focus of the book, the crew on the ground play an equally important role. Oxygen – Book Review

Oxygen by John Olson and Randy Ingermanson is a science fiction suspense novel that feels akin to the movie, Apollo 13. That movie was based on a true story about a mission to the moon that went horribly wrong. Oxygen, the book, is a fictional story about a mission to Mars that went horribly wrong. Oxygen takes that story type into several unexpected directions that are thrilling and delightful. Space Drifters – Book Review

The Emerald Enigma by Paul Regnier is the first story in the Space Drifter series and is a rare blend of outer space heroics and slapstick comedy. An odd but fun assortment of characters make up the crew of the star ship that serves as the main setting of the story. Captain Glint is the wise-cracking hero who is obsessed with obtaining the Emerald Enigma. His first officer is a reptilian alien creature named Blix, who serves Glint well with his superior intelligence and strength. He’s also the perfect straight man for Captain Glint’s jokes.
