Earth To Echo – First Look

Earth To Echo will arrive in theaters this July 4th weekend. Today was the first time I’ve heard of this movie. Judging from the trailer and some of the buzz I’m seeing on movie sites, it could be really good. It looks like it’s an alien-come-to-earth movie in the vein of E.T. and Super 8, two of my favorite movies of all time. This one, like those, is centered around the group of kids who find the alien; every boy’s fantasy.Beyond the interesting plot, I’m also giving it attention here because it will be rated PG.

Here is the plot summary according to firstshowing.net. When a group of young friends begin to receive bizarre encrypted messages on their cellphones, they embark on an incredible adventure to discover the meaning behind these communications. Soon enough, they realize that the messages they are receiving are from a mysterious being from another world –  one who desperately needs their help. The full article can be read here.
