Now That’s Funny #2 – Monty Python’s Olympics

A great TV show, Monty Python's Flying CircusThis is part 2 in my series of blog posts that highlight some of the great comedy from the past that was not dependent on vulgarities or sexually related humor to be funny.

Monty Python is another huge influence on me as far as the kind of humor that I enjoy. When it comes to my inspirations for my Glazed Man and Rat Girl books, the top two are definitely SCTV (see my previous post) and Monty Python. Specifically, I’m a big fan of the old Monty Python and the Flying Circus British TV show, plus their classic movie, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. There are many great sketches of theirs that I could have shared here, but this one has always been one of my favorites. I find myself laughing out loud every time I see it.
