Stan Lee died yesterday at age 95. He was the co-creator of Marvel Comics and the man most responsible for their success. Most of the popular Marvel superheroes, including Spiderman, the Fantastic Four, Iron Man, the X-Men and many more would not exist without the fertile imagination of Stan Lee.
I grew up reading Marvel comics and I still cherish my collection of comic books that I’ve owned since I was 12 to 16 years old. Stan’s influence along with other great writers and artists like Jack Kirby, Roy Thomas, Steve Ditko and more can still be seen in my own fictional creations. His creative vision has inspired my own creativity as well as that of a million others just like me. We will miss you Stan, but thanks for your legacy that we will continue to enjoy for many years to come.
Lee had his shortcomings as a writer, but it’s hard to imagine the comics field without him. What a great life!
